Vanessa is currently responsible for leading the diversity, inclusion and engagement programs at Nestle Waters. She is in charge of strategy and implementation of programs touching 9,000 employees in the U.S. and in Canada. She coaches the leaders of her organization on leadership effectiveness, diversity and inclusion.
Vanessa was born in Puerto Rico and raised in Haiti. She lived in different countries and became fluent in French, Spanish, Creole and English. She attended the University of Puerto Rico for her Bachelor of Science degree in Business, double majoring in Human Resources Management and Industrial Management. After receiving her degree, she moved to California for her first job in consulting. She was so passionate about her work that she decided to pursue a Master of Science degree in Human Resources specializing in Organization Development at the University of San Francisco. After a few years, Vanessa moved to the NY area for a new career opportunity and decided to complete her PhD work in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
Vanessa has 19 years of experience in learning and development. She honed her skills in the private and public sectors. Vanessa has worked on large organizational development projects in Central and South America, North Africa, and in Europe. She has a special interest in building diverse and collaborative teams, helping employees grow and develop to the best of their abilities. Her advice is to take the time to find out what your talents and passions are, study what you love, and give it your all.
Vanessa lives in Old Greenwich with her husband Greg and her 2 kids, Sophia and Alex who are attending The International School at Dundee and Eastern Middle School respectively. They appreciate all kinds of music, love traveling, meeting new people and exploring new places as a family.
