On Partnering with Fairfield University’s School of Engineering to Revamp our Website

Over the past few months, we had the opportunity to collaborate  with Fairfield University in the process of revamping our website thanks to the valuable support of Dr. Wook Sung Yoo and his engineering students Sambir Shrestha, Robini Vemelapati and Upender Reddy Chityala. All of  us in our team are very pleased with this year’s Capstone project partnership in creating  an updated version of our website.  We thank each and every single of them  for sharing with us their professional insight  and commitment.

With the updated version of our website, we have been able integrate newer API technology with our social media and newsletter settings,  which in turn will help INTAKE deliver its content regardless the platform; such as outdated browsers, and mobile devises like cell phones and tablets, that auto populate itself thanks to a new interaction with our server’s database. Additionally, with this new version of our website, we will be able to maximize our bandwidth, track our viewers attention and time spent consulting our content; which ultimately, will guide us toward continue making new and more effective improvements. Our priority was also to simplify the donation process by integrating a leading online tool likeTilt.  INTAKE wishes the best of luck to Rohini, Upender, and Sambir with their personal work and career plans.
As put by our founder and artistic director, Angie Durrell, “All of us in the INTAKE team are very excited to be working on modern web technologies, and we look forward to looking for ways to expand our partnership with Fairfield University’s School of Engineering, IT strategists, and general areas of study that can better help the important work that we do for our youth and our community”.
