Claudia Ahumada has worked in various capacities in the financial services industry, including serving as an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Officer for the Royal Bank of Scotland since 2013.

Claudia has an extensive experience in operational risk management, risk identification, and process development. As Assistant Vice-President at HSBC Securities (USA), she was responsible for implementing regulatory policies and procedures including Know Your Customer (KYC), Bank Secrecy Act, and USA Patriot Act. Prior to that, she gained expertise in commercial banking as a personal banker for Citibank NA.

Her community service and not-for-profit experiences include having served as Treasurer and Vice President of Volunteers for the Norwalk Aquatic Club (Zeus Swim Team).

Mrs. Ahumada holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Sacred Heart University, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. In addition, Claudia is a certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). She also holds certifications as an Operations Professional by Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and as a Certified Public Notary from the State of Connecticut.

A native of Colombia, Claudia is passionate about pursuing educational opportunities for youth and having a positive impact in our local community. Her daughter, Melissa, plays the violin at INTAKE’s Native Instrument Academy, and her son,Brian, is a freshman at Purdue University. She resides in Stamford, Connecticut with her family.
